 The
coffees from Cuzcachapa are so good that they
have continuously been selected as finalists in
the “Cup of Excellence” contests held in the
years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007. Some of
the coffees’ characteristics are: SHG (Strictly
high grow coffee) 1,400 meters and more over
level sea, rich volcano soils and the finest
varieties of arabica coffee beans. Besides, the
screening process is cero defects to meet SCAA,
JAPAN and Europe high standards of quality.
Finally, The Coffee Warbler is buying directly
from our friends Coop. Cuzcachapa, the best
coffees they have and we want to share these
specialty coffees with you. We are sure that
after you taste and cup these coffees you will
agree that El Salvador really has one of the
best coffees in the world. In general El
Salvador coffees can be fine and gentle yet
fragrant and seductive. Occasionally a
Salvadoran appears that is powerful, deep, with
medium body and acidy yet it balances perfect
for drip and espresso blends. The aroma of black
grapes and chocolate prevails through the entire
drinking experience. This medium-bodied coffee
has a velvety mouth feel and juicy sweetness
typified in the date-like, dark grape flavour
notes. Don’t be surprised if floral and Anjou
pear nuances reveal themselves in the cup.
